The Flight of the Canucks - A Study of Canadians Living in the US

Wise

Here at Wise we're always interested in what our customers think.

Following record months of transfers between the US and Canada on Wise, we did a little bit of research on the 800,000 Canadians living in the USA. Unbelievably, over the last 9 months, we found that the average Canadian household living in the US is now bringing in 33,000 CAD more a year, in Canadian terms, thanks to the plummeting Loonie. That's enough to buy 3,000 bottles of maple syrup or a new hockey stick for every squad member of the 7 NHL hockey teams north of the border.

Not only are they making more money but they are also going native. Who would have thought they favoured Starbucks over Tim Hortons, or Delta over Air Canada. Surprisingly, they are not so fond of their new US banks. A couple of things more popular than the banks among Canadians living in the US? How about Donald Trump and Mondays. Here are a few other things we've found out, eh.
