Fancy a free wine tasting evening in Shoreditch?

Wise

Wise has partnered up with Newcomer Wines, a fellow revolutionary, to offer an exclusive wine tasting evening for 20 Wise customers on Wed 18th June from 7pm-9pm.

If you're a London-based Wise revolutionary, all you need to do to win a spot at our first ‘Wise Night’, is the following: Facebook and Twitter - like and follow! @transferwise @austrianwinerev Finish off this sentence in the comments below and email community@wise.com - “Wise rocks because…” We’ll select 20 winners and we'll let you know by 16th June. The best answer will also take home a free bottle of their finest wine. See you there!

To find out a bit more about Newcomer Wines, we chatted with Peter, the studentrepreneur who set up the shop while still studying at City University.

TW: So how did you come up with the idea for Newcomer Wines? PH: We wanted to help people focus on the fun and simple nature of wine enjoyment. Newcomer Wines was created as a revolutionary wine shop concept that features emerging Austrian wine makers and their stories, and introduces their unique wines to a fresh and urban audience. TW: Where did you find your wine producers from? PH: We visited an Austrian wine fair in London and met many great small producers who would be eager to sell their wines in the UK but couldn’t meet the bulk prices or high volumes that normal distributors would require from them. TW: How do you use Wise for your business? PH: As a start-up, cash is tight and every penny counts. Since our suppliers are based in Austria, Wise is a great way to pay our winemakers without the hassle of high bank charges and saves us a lot of money.
