41% of Millennials want to live abroad, according to our “Anchor Index” -- a survey that explores how strongly Americans are tied to the U.S. as their permanent place of residence.

We surveyed over 3,000 adults living in the U.S. and learned quite a few interesting things.

Roughly 1 in 6 Americans looking to live abroad would choose Canada. And though they like to say, “West Coast, Best Coast!” people in the West are the most likely to seek residence abroad (and those in the Northeast are most likely to remain).
