“A number of our customers were looking for ways to pay vendors outside of the US. After much research, we concluded TransferWise is the fastest, most cost efficient option out there. Their powerful API makes integrating with them a no-brainer.”
Benjamin Portusach is the co-founder and CEO of Accrualify, a VC backed procure-to-pay spend management platform. An increasing share of their customers wanted them to support international payments, which is when they turned to TransferWise.
“A lot of companies claim to have API capabilities, but it can often end in disappointment”, says Ben. “But with TransferWise, they really delivered a global solution for our customer’s payouts.”
For platforms such as Accrualify, providing international payment capabilities is key. “Having a strong partner for global payouts really helps”, Ben explains. “It makes it easy for us to focus on our core value to our customers while feeling assured that our customers’ international payments are in good hands.”
TransferWise has been stepping up their efforts to support startups looking for global payouts capabilities. An increasing number of companies are choosing TransferWise for a range of use cases, such as affiliate payouts, marketplace payouts, international payroll and vendor payments.
“For us, we are excited to be able to support a growing community of startups looking for global payouts solutions,” Erik Edin, product manager at TransferWise, explains. “With companies such as Accrualify going international at a much faster pace than before, we know it’s important to have access to powerful payment rails from the start.”
Accrualify isn’t planning to slow down any time soon. With sustained growth in the US, and the TransferWise integration in place, Ben is eyeing an expansion to Europe. “There’s no reason for us to stay out of Europe,” Ben says. “If there are growth opportunities outside of the US, we’ll go for it.”
For TransferWise, the partnership is about bringing a great experience to wherever their customers are. “We believe sending money internationally should be as easy as sending an email”, Erik says. “We’re always looking for ways to make international payments easier, and integrating with platforms where our customers are makes a lot of sense.”
