How much do transfers cost with TransferWise?

TransferWise simply charges a small, fair fee. TransferWise is the only money transfer service in the world where people can exchange currency at the real mid-market rate.

Unlike banks we don't layer any hidden commission on top of the exchange rate we give you. All we have is a one-off fee, and we'll always show you the price up-front. Just let us know how much you want to transfer on TransferWise.

I. If you're converting from GBP/EUR, then payments up to 200 GBP/EUR cost you a flat fee of £1 or €1. For larger payments we charge just 0.5% of the payment amount.

II. If you're converting from another currency than GBP or EUR, the same principle applies (except for SWIFT payments* and conversions from RON and TRY**) – but the threshold for the flat fee of £1 is the closest equivalent to 200 GBP in the respective currency.

NB! Please note you cannot make same-currency transfers with us!

Here's the list of service fees:

Pricing level 1 = 0.5% (min 1 EUR, 1 GBP, 2 CHF, 5 PLN, 10 NOK/SEK/DKK, 2 GEL, 300 HUF)
To: EUR, GBP, USD, CHF, AUD, PLN, NOK, SEK, DKK, GEL, HUF
From: EUR, GBP, CHF, PLN, NOK, SEK, DKK, GEL, HUF

Pricing level 2 = 0.5% + SWIFT FEE (min 1 EUR, 1 GBP, 2 CHF, 5 PLN, 10 NOK/SEK/DKK, 2 GEL, 300 HUF) + 10 USD/CAD/AUD or 1000 JPY
To: CAD, JPY
From: USD, CAD, AUD, JPY

Pricing level 3 = 1% (min 10 RON, 6 TRY)
From or to: RON & TRY

* NOTE: Payments to JPY & CAD are more expensive as these are processed as international SWIFT payments, as well as conversions from USD, AUD, CAD & JPY.
These payments are more expensive and a deduction might be done by an intermediate bank.

** NOTE: Payments from or to RON & TRY are charged with 1% service charge, and not 0.5%.
