What you’ll be working on:

  • TransferWise is complex under the hood, but we’re just getting started. With our own payment rails, there are lots of opportunities to build new products and services on them. We need consistent frontend design which can better explain the power of the underlying products.
  • You will be understanding the business customer journey on deciding to use TransferWise. it’s about explaining our key pillars in a cohesive manner for our product. We need to iterate quickly with designs, experiments, trials etc, but bear in mind, the need to maintain consistency of our marketing comms, landing pages and in-product experiences.
  • We’re open to ideas and technologies - our codebase is mainly Angular 1.5 but moving to ES6, Redux and perhaps React.
  • Businesses are a hugely underserved group of customers, they are being charged by their banks to make international transfers with opaque fee structures.
  • There is no one size fits all - businesses come from different sectors, in all shapes and sizes, with varying concerns and needs. Finding the right solution that works for them is tricky but it’s about learning and distilling it into our product.

Must Have:


  • Strong command over HTML, CSS, understanding of the best practices
  • Expert knowledge of latest Javascript technologies, how they interact with DOM
  • You have built front end experiences consuming REST APIs.
  • You have used the latest web stacks or libraries such as React, Angular, LESS, SASS.
  • You like writing clean, componentised and well-tested code, heavily favouring reuse.
  • Experience solving cross browser compatibility issues.
  • You have a proven track record of writing performant code with user accessibility front of mind.
  • You have written responsive and adaptive code to enable mobile web experiences.


  • You have a strong sense of good UX and design, and understand how to test some of your assumptions.
  • You like writing automated tests for your code.
  • You thrive on getting things done and measuring impact for customers.
  • You aren’t afraid of failing.
  • You have a customer-focused approach to product development, putting the customer first when making decisions.
