Finance Lead (Growth and Forecasting) – London

As a financial technology service/company moving billions of GBP of customer money in over 70 countries, TransferWise must have bulletproof financials. We need timely, accurate and scalable financial data to be compliant with regulations and make accurate business decisions inside the company.

We’re growing our FP&A team and looking for an experienced Finance Lead to come on board and lead our efforts on forecasting and understanding growth, based in our London office.

Your mission:

  • Own the growth narrative for TransferWise across users, volumes, and revenues for ongoing management, strategic planning, and external reporting
  • Drive the development of technically advanced, robust, and accurate statistical forecast models
  • Establish a deep understanding and mastery of growth drivers to ground our forecasts in and to provide confidence to our investors and insight to the team on which to drive action
  • Partner with the product organisation across TransferWise to drive ownership and accountability for forecast and growth
  • Own the ongoing analysis to continuously evolve our understanding of growth. Develop scenarios and and build sensitivities to further ground our forecasts
  • Contribute to, and help evolve our reporting, including our monthly reporting for our board and investors
  • Lead and grow a small but might team

A bit about you:

  • Experienced in forecasting and financial modelling in a commercially based role - ideally in a fast growth tech company
  • Have had ownership of growth and revenue analysis, insights, narrative, and reporting on both short-term and long-term strategic basis
  • Skilled at business partnering with stakeholders at all levels of an organisation, including at the executive level 
  • Have led, mentored, inspired, developed, and grown teams before
  • Technically proficient: you have a good command of SQL. A working knowledge of Python and/or R is a bonus
  • Passionate about what we’re building at TransferWise 
  • Keen to roll up sleeves and get the job done, we all do our own Excel still
  • Ability to operate to defined timelines while bringing together a diverse stakeholder group
  • Humble, comfortable operating with a level of uncertainty, keen to learn
  • Able to work across multiple teams, offices, time zones (and travel when needed!) with flexibility and a can do attitude
  • Eligible to work in UK
