Junior Company Secretary – London

We’re looking for a Company Secretarial Trainee or Junior Company Secretary to join our growing team in Shoreditch, London. As we grow rapidly around the world, we need to make sure we have the right entities and set up to support that growth in every region.  Our product is built on trust. Maintaining that trust is crucial and that means staying on top of our responsibilities to the authorities who regulate us.

Your mission:

  • Build and maintain minute books, filing systems and internal corporate databases, including a global insurance database.
  • Monitor, review and assist with the submission of corporate filings globally.
  • Assist with global subsidiary board meetings, including diarising, agenda preparation, meeting papers distribution and minute-taking.
  • Prepare and/or review board minutes and resolutions for standard corporate actions.
  • Corporate housekeeping tasks such as the tracking of documents, routing documents for signature and distribution, document filing.
  • Handle requests for information from other teams.

This role will give you the opportunity to:

  • Learn and grow - you’ll work closely with our awesome Company Secretarial Manager and, with time, expand the scope of your role to areas that interest you.
  • Work in an international Legal Team and learn a lot about the financial services/fintech industry and driving the corporate sustainability of a fast growing company.
  • Play a crucial role in supporting the mission of our company for our customers in the years ahead.

A bit about you:

  • Studying for the ICSA professional qualification scheme, or recently graduated from an ICSA-validated postgraduate university programme.
  • Passionate about building a career as a company secretary or in governance more generally. If you already have some experience, particularly in financial services or dealing with international subsidiaries, that would be fantastic. But it's not essential.
  • Interested in working in an international, fast growing and non-traditional tech environment.
  • Able to thrive under pressure and competing demands.
  • A complete pro at prioritisation.
  • Confident in environments of ambiguity and shifting priorities and excited by the idea of helping to bring order and create established processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail and written English.
  • Legally authorised to work in the UK.
