Product Analyst - Borderless – London

TransferWise is looking for a Senior Product Analyst to join the Borderless team. The role will have a clear focus on creating the best experience for customers using our new product. Driving change, reducing cost, and improving convenience is how this individual will positively impact the lives of over 200,000 (and climbing) account holders.

From analysing conversion funnels to building segmentation models using machine learning algorithms, Analysts at TransferWise have complete autonomy over how they apply their skills.

What you’ll really be doing

  • Analyse, define and prioritise opportunities and influence how the product roadmap actually creates an impact on customers lives.  
  • Beyond defining products, features and KPI’s, you’ll be the driving force behind moving them; moving us closer to our mission of money without borders.
  • Own Borderless data and be an advocate for it within the team, the Analytics Guild, and the whole of TransferWise.
  • Work side-by-side with Product, Engineering, Design, and Finance to create a strong understanding of our cost structure. Ensuring your analysis and insights translate into a reality for our customers.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the banking industry and find opportunities that lead to improvements in different markets.
  • Build relationships across the business from People to Customer Support, Marketing, and everything in between. At TransferWise, we share a single vision and a diversity of thought and feedback will help us to build incredible products that will get us there.

The experience that will help you do it

  • You push beyond the numbers and understand how the customer is using your product, combining quantitative and qualitative analysis - empathy and curiosity aren’t a bad thing.
  • Besides solid SQL and Excel, you are familiar with either Python or R, and you are keen to learn the tools needed for a given task.
  • If something isn’t working, you have the ability to pick the best tools for the job.
  • You have a strong knowledge of statistics and are rigorous in your analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills. You can take complex ideas and distill them into clear, actionable and inspiring insights.
  • Beyond the autonomy you naturally have at TransferWise, you feel comfortable collaborating with others across our offices. Even if takes a bit of travel.
  • Data Science and Machine Learning isn’t a must, but it would be a big plus if you’ve had a chance to get your head around them.
