Senior Product Analyst - TransferWise for Business – London

TransferWise is looking for a smart, analytical thinker who can help us spread the revolution where it’s needed the most. You’ll be embedded in the Business product team at our London office, driven to expand our understanding of our customer needs to make sure we build the right tools that fit for large businesses around the world.

It’s your job to help the business team make data-based decisions, work with the team to figure out what brand-new features we should develop next, and how to launch them most effectively.

So, what’s the role?

  • Expanding our knowledge of our business users: How do businesses operate their international payouts, what’s the competitive landscape and how does TransferWise currently fit in with their needs.
  • Quantifying these opportunities to help the team prioritise the product roadmap based on your growth forecasts.
  • Guide the team by developing strategies on how to best roll-out the upcoming releases of brand new features and products and set relevant KPIs, monitor progress and clearly communicate our achievements throughout the process.
  • You’ll work side-by-side with product, engineering and customer support to create a strong customer feedback loop and ensuring that your analysis and insights translate into actions and a better experience for our customers.
  • You’ll need to build relationships with teams across the company, from marketing and engineering to our customer support and operations.
  • Looking at the bigger picture: Be the go-to person for business data and regularly present an update to the wider team on our growth and your new insights.

This role will give you the opportunity to

Promote data-driven product prioritisation and oversee the roll-out of new features

Identify growth opportunities in different business segments through customer interviews and surveys, market research and competitor analysis

Setting actionable KPIs together with the team to monitor our achievements and maximise the impact we have for our customers.

A little bit about you

  • Experience with product analysis (examples of analysing customer data to inform successful product changes - using SQL, Excel, Python etc to do this)
  • Excellent communication skills - you can summarise the complex, and present data visually in a way that makes people say “got it!”
  • You go beyond the numbers and understand what the customer is thinking, combining data analysis with customer empathy and not afraid to pick up the phone and talk to our customers
  • You live up to the TransferWise values and have a deep knowledge about our product
  • You’re a self-starter who’s comfortable working autonomously and with teams located across our offices

Analysts at TransferWise pick the best tools for the job. Besides solid SQL and Excel, you are familiar with either Python or R, and you are keen to learn the tools needed for a given task.

Our People

At TransferWise, you’ll be joining a movement of people who believe in a better, fairer, more transparent way of moving money around the world. You’ll collaborate to do your best work and take on problems that no one has looked at before.

If you’re keen to learn, grow, try new things and aren’t afraid of a bold plan, you’ll fit right in.

Some important stuff we would like you to know

To meet our regulatory obligations as a licensed financial services company, TransferWise needs to take background checks on all new hires, which may include Criminal and Credit checks. Please discuss with the Recruiter if you have any concerns regarding this process.

At TransferWise we believe in fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace. Therefore, we want to make sure that our recruitment process is accessible to everyone. So if you need any reasonable adjustments – at any point in the process – we’ll do our best to help. Just let us know what you need on your application form or reply with your request to the email we send you after you have applied. You might need a reasonable adjustment if you’ve got a disability. Or maybe you live overseas, and you’d prefer to meet us over Skype.

Please don’t send anything to the adjustments address if you’re a recruiter, or if you’re making a speculative application. We do work with recruiters from time to time – but only through LinkedIn. And we only accept job applications when a position is actually open. So you’re better off just checking the recruitment pages regularly.
