Quality Assurance Manager – London

Our growing compliance operations team is looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) Manager to join our team in London

Your mission:

As Quality Assurance Manager you'll devise and establish quality procedures, standards and specifications across compliance operations teams. You'll be responsible for checking and improving compliance operations' work quality and efficiency through reports analysis, reviews, feedback and improvements of the processes, also regular product testing to detect gaps.

You'll help to build and improve the quality team and function through contribution to hiring, developing policies/documentation, as well as working on workflows and training programs:

  • Helping TransferWise to accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined and effective approach to evaluation and improvements of the quality of compliance teams, vendors and product;
  • Engaging in continuous knowledge development regarding sector’s rules, regulations, best practices, tools, techniques and performance standards;
  • Having ownership of tracking and reporting quality management information (MI);
  • Acting as an objective source of independent advice to ensure quality, legality and goal achievement in compliance processes, vendors and product;
  • Ownership and management of Quality MI and internal controls;
  • Providing support for Internal and External Audit Testing;
  • Being responsible for mentoring and training new hires in Quality Control reviews;
  • Identifying trends and monitoring performance to enable business improvements in order to mitigate risks and improve performance/profit/customer experience and provide statistical reports;
  • Collaborating with Team Leads and Compliance Officers to ensure all legal and internal requirements encompass the QA process;
  • Identifying improvement opportunities in team’s skills and expertise level, developing training programs and assessment.

You'll contribute to efficient compliance processes at large where customer experience processes are impacted by evolving our policies, due diligence processes and training program in the context of our customer due diligence policy, acceptable use policy and applicable regulation.

You'll be confident in demonstrating and defending policies, processes and auditable due diligence records to regulators and auditors.

A bit about you:

  • You'll have very good verbal and written English skills; any other languages are a plus;
  • You'll have excellent organisational skills, professionalism and high integrity;
  • You'll be strongly self-driven and a good cross-team communicator;
  • You'll have a strong background in quality assurance management within the finance sector;
  • You'll have analytical skills and experience with management information;
  • You'll be punctual, independent, proactive, have high attention to details and are willing to get things done;
  • You'll have good regulatory knowledge at least of one region/jurisdiction;
  • You'll have min. 3 years compliance experience;
  • You'll have passion about payments, fintech and quality management and an eye on the future;
  • You'll have clear communication, project coordination and management skills;
  • You'll have a sense of camaraderie and good humour while under pressure or tight deadlines;
  • You'll have a world view and talent for thinking outside the box;
  • You'll love to get things done and not be afraid to roll up your sleeves and take responsibility;
  • You'll be willing to challenge teams and yourself on how to best serve our customers, while keeping processes robust and compliant;
  • Willingness to travel (min. 25% of the time).

  • Operational background;
  • Strong background in compliance quality, fintech and payment sector.
