AML Investigator – São Paulo

Our fast-growing Anti Money Laundering transaction monitoring team is looking for a skilful and passionate AML Investigator to join our team in São Paulo. 

Purpose of the role:

As AML Investigator you will ensure Transferwise is preventing money laundering in accordance with local laws and regulations as well as global standards. You will need to have a strong attention to detail and a solid understanding risks from different perspectives - the main aim of your role being a smart mitigation of these risks without stopping many regular transactions.

You will also support the local compliance team with analysis and deep investigation of suspicious cases.

What you’ll get to do: 

  • Detect and prevent money laundering/terrorist financing through Transferwise;
  • Monitor our customer base and investigate any suspicious activity;
  • Communicate with customers related to suspicious activities;
  • Report suspicious activity in accordance with internal procedures;
  • Participate in developing new monitoring rules.

What do you need to have?

  • Very good verbal and written Portuguese and English; any other language skills are beneficial;
  • At least an associate’s degree;
  • Some previous experience in AML;
  • Investigation skills;
  • Attention to details;
  • Ability to work independently;
  • Ability to handle routine;
  • Urge to get things done;
  • You must be eligible to work in Brazil.
