Product Analyst - Speed – Tallinn, Budapest

Today, customers have paid over £1 billion into their borderless accounts and are saving themselves £60 million every month in bank fees. Yet we’re moving less than 1% of the world’s money. There’s still heaps to do and we can’t do it alone.

We’re looking for a Product Analyst to join our growing team in Budapest or Tallinn.

So, what's the job?

You’ll be embedded in our Speed team and working across TransferWise to help us get closer to our mission of sending money around the world instantly. However, our team is not just about making transfers move faster - we are also all about convenience and giving our customers peace of mind by providing them with accurate estimations and information on where their money is.

This is a unique opportunity for you to help TransferWise make sense of our ever growing amounts of data and taking this mission to a whole new level - How this gets done is completely up to you. . You will help us identify and quantify the problems our customers are experiencing as well as measuring the impact of the changes we make. Your work will be instrumental in improving our product, making an impact on our customers lives,, and moving us closer to our mission.

  • Your learnings from data analysis will quantify opportunities that will guide the team to prioritise what to build next, building a strong product roadmap to maximise customer impact
  • Monitor the impact of features we have recently launched and how they have moved our team KPIs
  • You’ll work side-by-side with product, engineering and treasury to ensure that your analysis and insights translate into action and a better experience for our customers
  • You’ll need to build relationships with teams across the company, from treasury and engineering to our customer support and operations.
  • Be the go-to person for TransferWise Speed data and regularly present an update to the wider team on your new insights and impact of product changes.

A bit about you:

  • Analysts at TransferWise pick the best tools for the job. Besides solid SQL and Excel, you are familiar with either Python or R, and you are keen to learn the tools needed for a given task.
  • You have a strong knowledge of statistics, and are rigorous in your analysis
  • Excellent communication skills - you can summarise the complex, and present data visually in a way that makes people say “got it!”
  • You go beyond the numbers and understand how the customer is using our product, combining data analysis with customer empathy
  • You live up to the TransferWise values and have a deep knowledge of our product
  • You’re a self-starter who’s comfortable working autonomously and with teams located across our offices. You pick where your focus should be based on your knowledge of the product
  • You are able to own a project from start to finish independently
  • You are willing to travel and work with colleagues in our other offices around the world
