We’re looking for a Full Stack Developer to join our growing team in Tallinn

You’ll receive a competitive package include a salary within the range of 28K-74K annually depending on your level of experience , and generous stock options.

Your mission:

Regulators and banking partners are still relying on antique, not convenient and not the most reliable sources for identifying customer in modern tech world. We believe that there are technological solutions that can help us identify customer and understand their behavior for offering the best experience for our customers and highest credibility to our regulators & partners.

This role will give you the opportunity to: 

As an KYC Full Stack Developer you will have solid experience with the back end technologies and full stack solutions. As part of the KYC team you'll be changing the world of finance to be more convenient, fast and secure for the customers. Removing the hurdles of verification while learning to know our customers is what you'll be working towards. Scale our systems to support customers and products growth. To fine tune and extend our API for internal and external customers, finding and building new more customer friendly on-boarding methods.  To figure out technical solutions for providing the best on-boarding experience and build world class tools to support our internal operational team with providing the best experience for our customers.

A bit about you: 

  • Experience in building backend systems, preferably using Java 8
  • Background with backend MVC framework - Java and Spring Boot preferred
  • Experience with developing in a modern front-end framework, Angular.Js is preferred but React, Backbone, Ember and/or Knockout are also relevant
  • Experience with SQL databases, writing custom queries and designing schemas
  • Understanding of test driven development (TDD), and the desire to write tests
  • Experience in distributed and concurrent systems, knowing the trade-offs between stateful/stateless and
  • synchronous/asynchronous architectures.

Some extra skills that would be awesome: 

  • Experience with financial systems, compliance, risk, KYC or AML
  • Experience and/or understanding of Machine Learning Practices
  • Experience with PostgreSQL, advanced types and query features
  • Knowledge of event driven architecture, REST microservices, Spring Boot, Groovy, Hibernate and/or Lombok
  • Experience with messaging services (Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, JMS etc)
  • You feel strongly about fighting criminals and you are a TransferWise customer
