Office Assistant – London

The Shoreditch, London office is growing, and we’re looking for an amazing Office Assistant to join and help us take the office experience from strength to strength! This is a great opportunity for someone who likes a varied role, who enjoys being sociable and welcoming and who wants to play an important part in a busy, fast-growing and fun workplace.  You will understand the urgency of a startup type setting, will love to take pride in the ownership of your tasks and will enjoy being part of a close team.

Your Mission:

  • Being the face of TransferWise for all visitors, suppliers, couriers making sure everyone gets the warmest welcome.
  • Maintenance of all office facilities. This includes restocking food/drink in kitchens, unloading dishwashers to dealing with broken or faulty bathroom/kitchen facilities.
  • Being the face of the Office team for our Wisers, do what it takes to create a positive and happy working environment, keeping Wiser satisfaction high.
  • Being a champion for internal/external events - coming up with ideas to help bring Wisers together and taking point on organising and publicising team activities.
  • Reviewing our processes and finding ways of making them quicker, easier and simpler - we’re growing quickly, so we need to work smart!
  • Working with the rest of the Office team to make sure the physical environment is always well organised and looks at its best.
  • 8 hour shift basis (between 8.00am - 6.00pm).

This role will give you the opportunity to:

  • Work autonomously - you’ll organise your own day-to-day workload in the way that works best for you, and in time you’ll have the opportunity to evolve your role to suit your own strengths and preferences.
  • Travel internationally - every new Wiser travels to Estonia in their first week for their onboarding, plus the whole business gathers there once a year for our annual party!  In between, there may also be opportunities for you to travel to our other offices, to learn more about how TransferWise works in different countries.
  • Gain global exposure - the Office team is global, so you’ll have the chance to work closely with colleagues from all over the world.
  • Develop yourself - you’ll have the chance to work with your lead to define your own growth path, which will help you develop in your career as TransferWise continues to grow.

  • Previous customer service or front of house experience, ideally in a tech startup or another customer focused environment.
