Marketing

  • Affiliates and Partnerships Manager

TransferWise is the clever new way to move money between countries. Co-founded by Skype’s first employee and backed by some of planet's most experienced innovators including Sir Richard Branson and PayPal founder Peter Thiel.

Based in Old Street, the hub of London’s startup scene, we’re growing at an extraordinary rate and looking for exceptional talent to jump on board. We’re currently just over 300 people strong and handling many millions of pounds daily.

We're looking for a talented Affiliate & Partnerships Manager, someone with great communication skills and preferably fluent in at least 1 European language besides English to join our London office. You will be active in the Affiliate & Partnerships Team - part of the Online Performance Marketing Team - working autonomously and collaboratively to originate and execute ideas to help grow our partner portfolio and user base simultaneously. You need to be comfortable in a fast-paced, KPI-driven environment and have a magic blend of strong analytical and superb communication skills.

    So, what’s the role?

Reporting to the Head of Affiliate & Partnerships, you'll work across our Affiliate & Partnerships Channel. At TransferWise the affiliate channel does not look anything like a traditional cashback/voucher code/comparison model and tends to require a unique sense of ‘where to find people with the need to transfer money’ online and an understanding of how to acquire / convert them.

The main goal of your work will be to research, find, acquire, activate and optimise affiliate partners in order to uplift channel growth on a global scale. You will monitor and influence aggressive cost and growth KPIs through negotiating and constantly reviewing commercial agreements. As part of the Affiliate & Partnerships team you will need to pass on our little revolution to new partners and ensure growth of high potential affiliates through educating them on best practices. You will take ownership of commercial, operational and technical issues with partners. A big share of your day-to-day will evolve around thorough data analysis to identify areas of improvement. And you will localise the strategy for specific high potential currency routes.

    Must haves:

    • Approximately 3-5 years’ experience in running successful online affiliate / partnership / bus-dev programmes for a fast-growing business.

    • Excellent communication, sales and negotiation skills.

    • Number driven, strong analytical skill, able to extract insights from data.

    • A commercial guru - you know exactly what to offer for each partner and how to make a partnership (financially) successful for both ends.

    • Extremely efficient, able to prioritise tasks and estimate their impact on key metrics.

    • Very personable and good at building constructive relationships with colleagues, partners, media owners and agencies.

    • Proactive with can-do attitude, generally full of great ideas and able to get stuff done without close supervision.

    Nice to haves:

    • Experience in other performance marketing channels (Paid Search, Email marketing, SEO, Display Advertising, or Paid Social)

    • Fluent in at least one European language, preferably German/French/Spanish

    • Experience with working in a fast-paced digital business

    Benefits:

You will join one of Europe’s most hotly tipped startups with plenty of opportunities to grow and the chance to be part of our little revolution. You are invited to join our company holidays (which are completely insane), 25 days holiday per year + free lunch every week. Oh. And you can use the office sauna whenever you want.

You will be integral to building product at TransferWise, helping to ideate, design and deliver beautifully simple and consistent experiences that customers love.

    • Writing instructional, marketing and functional copy for our customers - as appropriate - that stays on-brand.
    • Helping develop and co-own the TransferWise tone of voice
