At the moment, you can add your card to Google Pay if your address is in Australia, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Singapore, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the UK, and the US
You can now make a payment where you see these symbols.
After you add your card to Google Pay, you might see a small charge (it may even be 0 USD) on your account. This is just to check that your card works, and it will be released back soon.

Some merchants might also apply the contactless limit — in the UK, this is 30 GBP.
