Who can I send CLP to?

You can send CLP to any bank account in Chile. 

What information do I need about my recipient?

You’ll need their:

  • full name

  • phone number

  • address

  • 1–20 digit local account number and account type (either checking, savings or demand)

  • bank name and code

  • RUT number (also known as RUN, this is basically a tax ID for Chilean residents and is mandatory)

How much can I send?

You can send up to 250 million CLP per transfer. 

How long does it usually take for the money to arrive?

Once TransferWise receives and converts your money, it usually takes 1 working day to arrive in your recipient’s bank account. Conversion can take up to 2 working days. 

We’ll always give you an estimate for how long your transfer will take when you set it up.

How do I report a crime involving TransferWise in Chile?

If you want to report a crime involving TransferWise’s Chilean entity, you can report it using this form .

These are the crimes you can report if they’ve been committed by TransferWise’s employees or executives, our contractors or suppliers, or third parties related to TransferWise:

  • money laundering

  • terrorist financing

  • bribery of public officials (either Chilean nationals or foreigners)

  • corruption between individuals

  • receiving stolen goods

  • incompatible negotiations (this is where there’s been a conflict of interest)

  • misappropriation (using money or goods that aren’t ours)

  • unfair administration

You can also use the form to complain about unethical behaviour, violations of our policies, or anything else that you think our senior management needs to investigate.

You can submit the form anonymously.

Yes — only the people who need to investigate the report will see what you submit. And if there’s been criminal activity, we’ll also share the report with relevant authorities.
