TransferWise Bot for Facebook Messenger

We have integrated our new TransferWise Bot with Facebook Messenger. If you’re an existing TransferWise customer, you can send money and set up rate alerts without leaving Facebook’s Messenger app. 

You can use the TransferWise Bot if you wish to make a transfer from USD, GBP, EUR, CAD, AUD, CHF, HUF, or PLN. When you’re sending money, it’ll guide you through each step. Plus, if you get stuck, TransferWise Bot will redirect you to the TransferWise help centre within the app to find the information that you need.

You can set up transfers to any of the following currencies: GBP, USD, EUR, AUD, CAD, HUF, PLN, CHF, UAH, and INR. The TransferWise Facebook Bot works best if you are sending transfers to existing recipients. 

If you are sending to a new recipient for most currencies, you can enter the email address for your recipient. We’ll email them once we have received the deposit for your transfer and ask them to input their bank account details. Once they’ve done that, we’ll convert the transfer and send it to their account.

Please note that if you are sending to UAH or INR, we’ll load our web page inside the Bot for you to add a new recipient there. If you are sending from USD, we’ll load our web pages inside the Bot for you to input your new recipient details there too. 

You can also choose to set up rate alerts with the TransferWise Bot. You can read more about rate alerts here. Rate alerts for the TransferWise Bot are available for the same currencies that you can set up transfers to and from in the bot. For all other rate alerts, you can set them up here.

You will be able to set up rate alerts for as many available currencies as you like, and TransferWise Bot will send you an update every morning. And when the rate is right for you, you can ask the bot to set up your transfer.
