Paying by Android Pay

When making transfers via our Android App, you'll now have the option to pay by Android's digital wallet, Android Pay.
  • From GBP transfers with UK debit cards, up to 2000 GBP
Sending money to TransferWise via Android Pay works exactly the same way that normal Android Pay payments work. So if you've used it before, it will be exactly the same - all you have to do is click the 'Pay' button with the Android logo and follow the steps.

Once you've gone through the authentication process, you should see a success screen showing that the payment was successful. We'll then receive your money instantly and get your payment sorted as soon as possible.

If for some reason the payment was unsuccessful, you will see an error message explaining why. If for whatever reason this error message is not clear, please don't hesitate to get in touch with customer support.

Additionally, depending on your card and issuing bank, payments via credit card (and very occasionally, debit card) may be interpreted by the card issuer or bank as a 'cash withdrawal' and may carry additional bank fees. Unfortunately we have no way to know this in advance, but the issuing bank should be able to provide more information
