How Can I Pay?

There are usually a couple ways you can pay in your money to TransferWise in each currency we support. You can choose how to pay on your TransferWise profile in the last step of setting up your transfer, "How would you like to pay?"

Australian Dollars (AUD) 
You can pay in AUD to TransferWise from your personal or business bank account in Australia by,

1. Local bank transfer to our account located in Australia. You can send a maximum of 1,800,000 AUD per transfer this way. 

2. Debit or credit card payment for transfers up to 3,500 AUD. An extra 2% fee will be charged - read more here

Bulgarian Lev (BGN) 
You can pay in BGN to TransferWise from your personal or business bank account in Bulgaria by, 

1. Local bank transfer to our account located in Bulgaria. You can send a maximum of 2,000,000 BGN per transfer this way.

Canadian Dollars (CAD)
You can pay in CAD to TransferWise from your personal or business bank account in Canada by

1. Direct bank debit - can be used to transfer up to 9,500 CAD per transfer from your Canadian bank to our account also located in Canada (from personal bank accounts only, no business transfers).

2. SWIFT transfer to our international bank account in Europe. You can send up to 1,500,000 CAD per transfer this way (both personal and business transfers).

3. You can by by debit or credit card for transfers up to 3000 CAD. Debit cards attract an extra fee of 1.15% and if you pay by credit card, there will be an additional 2% fee.

Swiss Francs (CHF)
You can pay in CHF to TransferWise from your personal or business bank account in Switzerland by, 

1. Local bank transfer to our account located in Switzerland. You can send up to 60,000 CHF per transfer this way. 

2. Debit or credit card payment up to 3,500 CHF per transfer.

Czech Koruna (CZK) 
You can pay in CZK to TransferWise from your personal or business bank account in the Czech Republic by, 

1. Local bank transfer to our account located in the Czech Republic. You can send up to 25,000,000 CZK per transfer this way.

Danish Krone (DKK)
You can pay in DKK to TransferWise from your personal or business bank account in Denmark by,  

1. Local bank transfer to our account located in Denmark. You can send up to 1,000,000,000 DKK this way if your recipient's currency allows. 

2. Debit or Credit card payment up to 20,000 DKK per transfer.

Euros (EUR)
You can pay in Euros to TransferWise from your personal or business bank account in the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA) by, 

1. SEPA bank transfer to one of our SEPA-compliant accounts in Europe. You can send up to 1,200,000 EUR this way 

2. Debit or credit card payment up to 2,500 EUR per transfer. 

3. SOFORT bank transfer up to 25,000 EUR per transfer or per 24 hour period. You can use SOFORT banking with TransferWise if your bank account is located in Austria, Belgium, Switzerland, Germany, Italy, Netherlands or Spain.

4. iDeal payment up to 50,000 EUR per transfer. You can use iDeal with TransferWise if your bank account is located in the Netherlands and if it's with one of the following banks. 

ABN Amro, ASN Bank, ING, RaboBank, RegioBank, SNS Bank, Triodos Bank, Van Lanschot Bankiers  or Bunq

British Pounds (GBP)
You can pay in GBP to TransferWise from your personal or business bank account in the United Kingdom (excluding offshore accounts) by,  

1. Local bank transfer to our account located in the United Kingdom. You can send up to 1,000,000 GBP per transfer this way. 

2. Debit or Credit card payment up to 2,000 GBP per transfer. Cards issued in Gibraltar cannot be used on TransferWise.

Hungarian Forint (HUF)
You can pay in HUF to TransferWise from your personal or business bank account in Hungary by,  

1. Local bank transfer to our account located in Hungary. You can send up to 300,000,000 HUF per transfer this way.

Norwegian Krone (NOK) 
You can pay in NOK to TransferWise from your personal or business bank account in Norway by,  

1. Local bank transfer to our account located in Norway. You can send up to 1,000,000,000 NOK per transfer this way if your recipient's currency allows. 

2. Debit or credit card payment up to 20,000 NOK per transfer.

New Zealand Dollars (NZD)
You can pay in NZD to TransferWise from your personal or business bank account in New Zealand by,  

1. Local bank transfer to our account located in New Zealand. You can send up to 1,000,000 GBP (approximately 2,200,000 NZD) per transfer this way.

Polish Zloty (PLN)
You an pay in PLN to TransferWise from your personal or business bank account in Poland by, 

1. Local bank transfer to our account located in Poland. You can send up to 5,000,000 PLN per transfer this way. 

2. Debit or credit card payment up to 10,000 PLN per transfer.

Swedish Krona (SEK)
You can pay in SEK to TransferWise from your personal or business bank account in Sweden by, 

1. Local bank transfer to our account located in Sweden. You can send up to 1,000,000,000 SEK per transfer this way if your recipient's currency allows. 

2. Debit or credit card payment up to 20,000 per transfer.

Romanian Leu (RON) 
You can pay in RON to TransferWise from your personal or business bank account in Romania by, 

1. Local bank transfer to our account located in Romania. You can send up to 5,300,000 RON per transfer this way.

Japanese Yen (JPY)
You can pay in JPY to TransferWise from your personal bank account in Japan by, 

1. Local bank transfer to our bank account located in Japan. You can make one transfer up to 100,000 JPY this way. 

2. SWIFT transfer to our international account in Europe. You can send up to 151,000,000 JPY per transfer this way.

United States Dollars (USD)
You can pay in USD to TransferWise from your personal or business bank account in the United States by, 

1. ACH bank debit. You can transfer up to $10,000 per 24 hour period this way. 

2. Domestic Wire transfer to our US bank account. You can send up to $49,999 per transfer this way. 


You can pay in USD to TransferWise from your personal or business bank account located outside the United States by, 

1. SWIFT transfer to our international bank account in Europe. 

Please note: 

TransferWise can only be used for transfers involving a currency conversion. So, we cannot transfer from USD to USD, unfortunately.
