You can edit your TransferWise password and profile language any time by clicking "settings" in the drop-down menu found by your name at the top, right corner of your TransferWise profile.
You can change your phone number by clicking "view personal profile" found in the same drop-down menu. Next to "Profile Overview", click "Edit profile". See how below!
For the safety of your profile, it isn't possible to change your email address in your account settings. If you need to change it, please call our support team at one of the numbers given on the right side your screen. Or, if you prefer, email us with your number and time zone so we can call you.
After you complete your first transfer, other details become locked as a safety measure. TransferWise support can change them for you, though. Read more below!
1. Your name - Your name can be updated in certain circumstances. If you have changed your name for any reason, we will be able to help you update the name on your profile. We will ask you to send us a photo or scan of the legal document showing your name change (e.g. marriage certificate, deed poll, etc.) along with your ID if it hasn't been verified yet.
To ensure the highest level of safety for your profile and the money you transfer, we will need a copy of your ID in order to edit your name. You can read more about ID verification here.
Please let us know once your document has been uploaded here. Once it's verified, we can change your name for you.
2. Your date of birth - If, for instance, you notice a mistake in your date of birth on your TransferWise profile, please upload a copy of your photo ID here and let us know. You can read more about ID verification on this page.
3. Your personal address
You can edit your address on your TransferWise profile at any point before it's been verified with a proof of address document. Simply click "View personal profile" from the drop-down menu by your name at the top-right corner of your profile. Then click "Edit profile".
If your address has already been verified, TransferWise support can change your address for you. Please upload a proof of address document to your TransferWise profile and email or call us to let us know your new address.
Address proof can be securely uploaded here.
Your address can be changed after it has been verified. If you've moved, we will ask you to send us an address proof for your new personal address. For more information on what we can accept, please check here.
4. Business address - In order to change your business address on TransferWise after it's been verified, please email us with your company's new address. We can change it for your right away, no proof needed.
5. Other business details - To change details of your business that have already been verified (like company name), we need proof of the change. Please contact our support team to find out what will be needed.
