Here you'll find everything you need to know about transferring to Russian Roubles. Please note that this is not available on our app- only on the website. 
 

 

Sending to RUB

 
Basic Information   Notes
TransferWise Fee 1.5% (or 200 RUB for transfers below 13,180 RUB) When sending from currencies where the fee would normally be 0.5% (e.g. GBP), the fee is instead 1.5%.
Delivery time 3 working days After payout. Please keep in mind that TransferWise can take up to two working days to convert your funds from receiving the deposit
Minimum amount (per transfer) 70 RUB  
Maximum amount (per transfer) 50,000,000 RUB  
Countries we can send to Russia only Due to current EU sanctions we cannot send RUB to Crimea or Sevastopol

Required Details    
Recipient Full Name Yes Name must match with that on the recipient's bank account exactly, including patronymic name*
Recipient Region Yes Selected from a drop-down menu
Recipient Local Account Number Yes Local account number should be 20 digits**
Recipient Bank code Yes Bank code should be 9 digits
Features    
Amount Lock Transfers Yes The currency you're sending from must also be able to send fixed amounts. Please see our other currency FAQs more information
Business Payments No Both the sender and the recipient of a payment to RUB must be a privately owned account of an individual. We can not accept money from a business account in the sending currency, or send to a Russian business account. 

*If your recipient's name is written in Cyrillic on their bank account, it must be written in Cyrillic on the transfer you create with us. If there is any discrepancy between the recipient name you provide us, and the name on your recipient's account, your transfer will ultimately be cancelled and refunded.

**We can only currently make RUB payments to accounts whose account number is in the below format:
