How do I use TransferWise for business payments?

If you wish to make transfers on behalf of a company, you will need to set up a business profile with us. 

To do this, you will first need to have a personal profile with us. If you do not have a personal profile yet, you can read more about this here.

Once your personal profile is set up, we will then ask you you to set up a business profile. You will need to enter the details of your company on the settings page. You can find that by following this link.

We will then begin verifying your business. To see what information we will need so that we can get you verified, please follow this link to our business verification page.

When you are sending money on behalf of your business, you should make sure that the business name on the bank account that is used to send money to TW is the same as the name of the business that is registered with us. If you have more than one business, you should get in touch with us so we can help you get everything set up.

Once  your business has been set up and verified, you can start transferring. If you set a transfer up as a business payment, the money must come from your business bank account.

If you have sent us money for a transfer from a business bank account but the transfer has been set up as a personal transfer (or vice versa), please let us know. We'll help get everything fixed up and make sure that your transfers keep moving smoothly

Please note 

  • In order to set up a business profile, you must first have a personal profile set up under the same email address. If you haven't done this yet, you can do so here.
  • If you own or wish to make payments on behalf of 2 or more businesses, please contact us so we can assist with setting this up.
  • If your business ever becomes incorporated, or changes it's entity type, you'll need to be re-verified and provide proof of the change.
