Why do I need to enter a refund account?

In some cases when you cancel a transfer, or if TransferWise cancels your transfer, we’ll ask you for a refund account. These are the details of the bank account that you paid for your transfer with. For many currencies, we don’t have access to these when you pay for a transfer, which is why we need to ask for them before we can refund you money. 

If you paid by card, we’ll automatically put the refund back on the card you paid with.
