Sending EUR to countries outside of SEPA

Sending EUR to countries outside of SEPA

With TransferWise, you can now send euros (EUR) to bank accounts in countries outside of SEPA. As long as the receiving bank account is denominated in EUR and uses the IBAN standard, you're good to go.

We send EUR to bank accounts outside of SEPA using the SWIFT payment network. It's different than a regular TransferWise transfer so will take a bit longer to reach the recipient. We will charge the same fees as for sending a regular transfer, but the receiving bank might charge extra.

How it works

  1. Set up your transfer on the TransferWise website. You’ll need to add a new recipient to get started.
  2. Add the IBAN number of the recipient’s bank account.
  3. Pay for your transfer. We’ll send the EUR to your recipient as usual. The estimated delivery time is 2–5 working days.

How much it costs

Your fee: We charge the regular TransferWise fee, nothing else.

Your recipient’s fee: Your recipient's bank may charge fees to receive payments sent with SWIFT. In addition, the recipient might be charged by any banks that handle the money along the way. We don’t have control over when these fees are charged, or how much they cost.
