The first time you make a transfer from TRY, we'll ask you for your 11-digit Turkish ID Number (T.C. Kimlik No). As we need to confirm it, your first transfer might take just a bit longer than usual. Don't worry — we'll only ask for it once.
In most cases, TransferWise can refund TRY bank transfer payments as long as we have your money and haven't completed your transfer.
The refund must be sent back to the account it came from. So, we may ask for your bank account details to return your money. We will need your IBAN, BIC code and name. Once you give us these details, refunds take 0–1 working days to appear back in your account.
