Sending to BGN 

 

Basic information   Notes
Delivery time 0–1 working day After payout. Please keep in mind that TransferWise can take up to 2 working days to convert your money after receiving the deposit
Minimum/maximum amount (per transfer) 1 BGN/2,000,000 BGN  
Countries we can send to Bulgaria only

Required details    
Recipient full name Yes When sending to individuals, please include the first name and the surname
Recipient IBAN Yes IBAN should be 22 characters long (letters and numbers) and begin with BG
Recipient SWIFT/BIC code Yes SWIFT/BIC code should be 8 characters (letters and numbers)

Time for deposit to reach TransferWise 0–2 working days TransferWise usually only receives deposits during UK working hours (9:00 am–5:00 pm (GMT), Monday to Friday)
How to send money Local bank transfer, credit or debit card We can only accept local bank transfers, we can't accept payments made by Easypay, Epay, or cash.

BGN refunds

If you cancel your transfer from BGN when you have already sent the money to us and the transfer has not yet been completed, then we can refund your money back to you. 

The money must be sent back to the account it came from and we will ask for the following details:
 
  • Account holder name
  • IBAN
  • Bank code (BIC/SWIFT)
We'll then send your money back to you and it should arrive within 2 working days.

 

Extra notes

We can't send payment of taxes, insurances, fees and other liabilities to the centralised budget and the administrators of incomes, such as municipality and national insurance.
 
These payment types are not standard domestic payments.
