Sending to KRW

Basic Information   Notes
Delivery time 1–2 working hours After payout. Please keep in mind that TransferWise can take up to 2 working days to convert your money after receiving the deposit. Because of Korean regulations, our partner in South Korea may require additional information from the recipient. In such cases, our partner will contact your recipient directly, so there might be some delay due to this 
Maximum amount (per transfer) For personal transfers Korean regulations limit the amounts TransferWise can send to individual recipients to 950,000 KRW per transfer and 30,000 USD (or equivalent) per year.
These limits do not apply to business transfers. The limits per transfer when sending to a business will depend upon the currency that you are sending from

Required details    
Recipient's full name Yes When sending to individuals, please include first name and surname
Recipient's date of birth Yes Recipients' date of birth has to match their bank's records exactly
Recipient's email address Yes  
Account number Yes These should be between 11 and 16 digits. Some banks allow customers to use their cell phone number as their bank account number, and we can also accept this
Bank name/code Yes This can be selected from a dropdown menu
Transfer purpose Yes You'll need to select the purpose for your KRW transfer from a dropdown menu
Amount lock transfers Yes The currency you're sending from must also be able to send fixed amounts
