How much does it cost to make a payment with TransferWise?

Very little. TransferWise is the only currency exchange service in the world where people can exchange currency with the real mid-market rate.

Unlike banks we do not charge you any commission fee on currency exchange. You can always see the price up-front. Just enter the sum in the needed currency on TransferWise.

I. If you're converting from GBP/EUR, then payments up to 200 GBP/EUR cost you a flat fee of £1 or €1. For larger payments we charge just 0,5% of the payment amount.

II. If you're converting from another currency than GBP or EUR, the same principle applies – but the threshold for the flat fee of £1 or €1 is the closest equivalent to 200 GBP/EUR in the respective currency. The nearest minimum service fee of 1 GBP/EUR in other currencies is as follows:

- PLN to EUR / GBP = 0.5%, min. 5 PLN
- CHF to EUR / GBP = 0.5%, min. 2 CHF
- NOK to EUR / GBP = 0.5%, min. 10 NOK
- SEK to EUR / GBP = 0.5%, min. 10 SEK
- DKK to EUR / GBP = 0.5%, min. 10 DKK

You do not need to make separate deposits for the payment sum and service fee. We deduct the transfer fee from the deposit and convert the rest.
There are no further fees added, you just deposit the sum shown at 'You pay'.

We do not give quotes like banks or brokers, as the mid-market rate fluctuates. We can only quote what the current interbank rate is.

NOTE: SWIFT-payments to Japan and Australia cost more, as these are processed as international payments. We must deduct an additional fee from your deposit, additional deductions might be done by intermediate banks.
